How much does it cost?

• All of our handspun yarn is priced by weight, by cost of materials, and by complexity.
• Minimum prices per 4oz:
1. $33 for undyed yarn
2. $48 for dyed-in-the-yarn (such as Dathanna colorways)
3. $53 for dyed-in-the-wool (such as our fiber colorways)
• Additional costs for: 
1. intentional color management techniques (such as fractal, mirrored, or lined up yarns)
2. extra fine or extra thick singles 
3. advanced ply techniques (such as chain ply or spiral ply)
4. extra materials (such as in thread plying)
5. custom colorway development
6. more expensive fiber bases
• We’ll require a non-refundable deposit to cover the cost of materials. Returns and refunds are otherwise governed by our pre-existing policies for custom orders.

How long does it take?

• As a rough guideline, we can’t work any faster than approximately 1 week/4oz of fiber, from bare undyed wool to a finished, measured, labeled, and packaged skein of yarn.
• Delays may include: 
1. needing to order fiber that we don’t have in stock
2. preplanned holidays or family time
3. health needs
4. weather
• All predictable delays and timeline expectations will be discussed with you via email before you place your order, and surprise issues will be communicated as quickly as possible if they occur.

How do I place a custom order?

• We’ll want to discuss the specifics of your order via email, and then we’ll send you an invoice through PayPal or Stripe.
• Once the minimum deposit payment is received, we’ll get started! You’ll get update emails & photos throughout the process, and a tracking number once your order has shipped.

What can we make?

• We can (likely) remake any handspun yarn you’ve seen pictured on our social media.
• We can order (almost) any fiber base you like, including custom blends.
• We can help you figure out what yarn is best suited to the project you want to make!
• We can do (and have done) custom order batches sized from a single skein to a sweater quantity - if you want an order even bigger, we’re willing to give it a shot if you’re willing to be patient!

Please keep in mind: 

• We’re a very small operation with only one production handspinner. Art takes time.
• While we strive to be very proactive with communication, both technical and human glitches can cause messages to get missed. While we think we’ve fixed a recently discovered bug in our email client, if you’re not getting a response please do feel free to reach out via messaging on any of our social media channels.
• Both of us have chronic illnesses, which can rarely cause unexpected delays. We’ll keep you informed if this affects your order, although our production timelines are designed to provide for adequate rest and reduce the risk of surprise delays.
